PERSONALIZE

Customize music, photos, and chapter’s menus. Our DVD’s are authored from entirely digital content and are done in house. No more fussing with fast forwarding or rewinding. This is the ultimate interactive DVD.

ADVANTAGES

One of the biggest benefits to DVD is the video quality. A standard VHS signal only has 320 dots per line but a DVD signal has 720 dots per line. This makes DVD horizontal resolution 2.25 times better than VHS.

DVD sound is stored like CD sound - digitally.

DVDs are more tolerant of temperatures, and will last for decades with repeated and constant use.

DVDs are more fun to watch than old videotapes.

Converting your memories onto DVD before they lose the quality of their image, is a permanent and cost effective way to guarantee a future for those irreplaceable memories.

Videotapes actually begin to degrade the moment they are made.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q - I want to edit and produce my own film, but need a quality capture. What do you suggest?

A - The best way would be to have the original Mini-DV virgin master that the film is captured on. We can however put the capture onto a VHS tape or DVD-RW should you not have the capability of firewiring the video into your computer via a Mini DV camcorder. Another option is to have the capture saved as a Windows AVI file.

Q - Techology changes so quickly, what assurances do I have that in 2 months after I have my tapes/films converted that I won't have to convert again?

A - DVD-R is compatible with 98% of DVD players produced since 2001. That is the most common medium that HMC uses. It is incumbent upon the client to be aware of what formats his/her DVD player will play.

Q - What kind of quality should I expect i my converted product?

A - The finished product will only be as good as the source to a certain extent. We can lighten it up or improve the contrast slightly. Testimonials
I wanted to find a perfect way to preserve and view about 200 old family photos. The DVD slideshow presentation was amazing! There is nothing like viewing old photos on a 30" television screen! Thanks HMC.

I have a new daughter less than a year old. To me these are the most precious memories as she seems to change and learn new things on a daily basis. HMC has done a great job of making sure I'll never forget these moments.
