FILM TRANSFER:

“This service offers a transfer of Regular 8mm, Super 8mm, Super 8mm with sound, and 16mm with sound film to DVD”. It is a high quality transfer of the film in real time. The result is a crisp, full frame, flicker free image. The film is captured in digital format, onto a CCD cell, from a condenser lens. This process allows for full frame capture as opposed to the partial frame loss which occurs in some transfer processes.
The result of the capture is a sharp, full frame image which far surpasses transfers done from Elmo and Goko TC-20 units.
Your film is then fire wired, in digital format, into a computer where any necessary adjustments are made to contrast, brightness and color. At this time any lead ins, lead outs and blank frames are trimmed.
We can also add special scrolling titles or soundtrack to your project as outlined in the “DVD Authoring And Editing” section below.
Finally, your edited film is added to a DVD-R in the highest quality MPEG 2 format.

TAPE TRANSFER:

This process involves the transfer of video tape to DVD. The current formats we handle are: Beta Cassette, VHS Cassette, Hi 8 and Mini DV.
We can add up to 2 hours of video to a DVD, depending on the amount of authoring, chapter breaks and finished quality of the video.
The process involves capturing your video to computer in the highest quality MPEG 2 format. At this point adjustments can be made to contrast, brightness, color and saturation before burning to DVD-R.

AUDIO TRANSFER TO CD:

This service provides a transfer of Reel To Reel or Cassette Audio Tape to CD.  The audio will be edited where necessary and enhanced before burning to CD.

SLIDESHOW ON DVD:

There is nothing quite like viewing all of your old photos or slides in slideshow format on a big screen TV. Consider this. HMC can place up to 700 slides or photos onto a DVD. They can be organized in any way you wish. Just think of the storage hassles and organization problems that can be overcome with this format. You can consider your Slideshow DVD to be a giant photo album all on one disk.
We can add Digital Photos, regular photos, or 35mm slides to your DVD in slideshow format. They can be organized into Chapters and a soundtrack can be added to enhance your Digital Photo Album.

35 mm slides and photo prints are scanned at very high resolution. Individual editing or enhancement can be made to the images that need it if requested.
Your slideshow will be burned in high quality MPEG 2 format to DVD-R.

PHOTO EDITING & RESTORATION:

Though we are primarily a movie transfer service, we also do quality photo editing. We can restore those old, faded, color washed photos. Faded images can be brought to life and can look just like the photo was taken yesterday. Adjustments are made to brightness, contrast and color.
In addition, we can make 8 X 10 enlargements of standard sized prints and slides, with little loss in sharpness and resolution.
We can also offer prints up to 8 X 10 from 35mm slides or negatives. In a lot of cases, photos exposed to light or humidity can fade and become lifeless. Negatives will retain their original qualities, and in most cases will produce a much better image.

COMBO DVD:

We can make a Combo DVD involving any of the above mentioned formats. We will put film, tape and/or slideshow all on the same DVD if requested. One very prominent application of this concept would be a Wedding. You could have one chapter containing the actual video footage and another chapter in which you could show all still wedding photos in slideshow format. You could add a soundtrack featuring the bride and groom’s first song and other music that is applicable. Even the video footage could have a soundtrack added in such a way as to be unobtrusive to the original sound on the footage.
We have not priced the combo due to the many different scenarios which may arise. Just go to the “Order Page” and fill in the text box with the type of work you would like and submit it to us. We will then get back to you with our quote.

DVD AUTHORING & EDITING:

The options found under “DVD Authoring & Editing” on our Order Page basically allow you to build your own DVD. You can add Chapter Breaks, menus, scrolling titles, soundtrack and transition effects where you want them. You can enhance the look of your project by adding customized labels and cases. All of these options are available at a price you can afford and we do all the work for you.
Keep in mind that our basic service does include standard 10 minute chapter breaks for easy navigation, DVD-R disk compatible with the majority of players on the market today, a slim jewel case and a blank “HMC” label on the disk itself.

This service is primarily for companies who wish to supply educational or training material to their employees. The cost per disk will decrease as the number increases. In order to do this duplication we must have written consent from the copyright holder or an official of the company. Please see the “Order Page” for pricing.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

 

You may want your video or photos added to the DVD in a specific order. We suggest that you number the order by placing stickers on your media, indicating the order in which you want them to appear on your finished DVD. It is also recommended that you read the section on preparing your shipment. It is important that your memories are well packaged and tracked.
